I have installed the jSecure Authentication on my JOOMLA sites and it is not working.

Here is my JOOMLA version info:
Joomla! 1.5.9 Production/Stable

When the plugin is enabled, anyone can still go directly to my admin login page without using the key. No errors are generated, it just appears to be doing nothing at all.

All steps for installation were followed.
Key is letters only
Enabled: yes
Access level: public

Is this common for version 1.5.9 ?

i've also installed it on a 1.5.9 site, when i try to access the old administration page, i get redirect loop error and is not sending the user back to the index page of my site as i declared. Logging of the administration site, i also get a redirect loop error. When i try again to access the administration page a second time around, i do get the old administration page.

The plugin works fine when i use it to access the administration with the key, but why would it still show my old administration page?

The webpage at www.xxxxxx.com/administrator/ has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.

It seems that you are right! I can't seem to be able to log into admin after enabling this plugin no matter what I try. It does seem to work on my J1.5.8 sites though.

Can you please tell me what error are you getting and also provide all the setting parameters in your plugin:

Custom Path:

My problem may be different than the others. As I stated on the first post, I get no errors at all. In fact, the plugin seems to do nothing at all.

People can go straight to my administrator page without using the KEY.

I tried unistalling and reinstalling the plugin. I then tried it using a custom path. I tried trying different Keys. Nothing worked.

On the current install I left the default Key in place.

I had to go into cpanel and delete it all together. After installing this. it would not even take me to the admin page at all with my key. Only the front page, and i had no access to Joomla admin. So i had to delete it from cpanel from 3 of my new 1.5.9 sites cause it did the same thing running on the same server info at the top of the page. Dint get any errors
