I used to use this awhile back when it worked, since then I have tried to uninstall all that I could find...

I uninstalled the plugin, but the authentication page that JSecure created for me is still there, and working (as well as the normal Joomla authentication (/administrator)


Jsecure Login authentication XXX.com/myauthentication

is still there, and still works, after everything was uninstalled, as well as the normal joomla/administrator authentication page.

Can someone perhaps shed some light as to why the Jsecure authentication is still there and working after uninstall? am I missing something? was something changed somewhere that I need to edit to get back to JUST the standard joomla authentication page only?

I think this plugin is a great idea, but it stopped working as of J 1.5.7 or so and up (when I say it does not work, I mean the original joomla authentication page persisted as well as the Jsecure one (both worked) which defeats the purpose of this extentio) - (hence I decided to uninstall it) I would love to use it, but am going to wait until I see some recent posts on this forum that ppl actually have success with it.

Can you check if the jSecure Authentication is listed in admin plugin area. If yes then your plugin must have not uninstalled.

Also check for the files in plugins/system foler to see if file exists and if system has permission to remove files.

I'm having the same issue. I have uninstalled the plugin, I confirmed that jSecure Authentication is no longer listed in the admin plugin area. I also checked to see if the files were still in plugin/system folder which they are not. The db also shows the plugin is removed.

After all that I'm still able to use the URL with the 'key' to get to the admin backend of my site.

What else gets changed? This is very frustrating.
