Bug: I believe there is an issue saving the Key in Basic Configuration?

Procedure (Basic Configuration):
Enable: Set to Yes
Pass Key: Set to URL
Key: Set to demo
Redirect Options: Set to index page
Then I click save!

Works great!!!

Now this is where the problem comes in...

If I go back to Basic Configuration!
Pass Key: Set to Form
Then click save!!!

I only changed one item and saved it (didn't touch the Key)!

The system fails!

It makes the change in param.php, so I am assuming it is messing up the hashed password?

Please let me know if this was not clear?

No, If you does not write any thing in Key field then it is kept as it is so key will not change.

Then there is a bug...

Cause if I change from Form to URL without changing the Key.

I am unable to login.

If you change the Form to URL than you can access the admin area by following way.

sitename.com/administrator/?secretkey

I read some of your replies on other post and it is like you either don't get it or just don't read!!!

Let me explain it like I would to my 7 year old.


I already know how to access the site:

If it is set to form then a form box shows up and you enter your secretkey.

If it is set to url then you access via sitename.com/administrator/?secretkey

That out of the way!

My Basic Config setup:

Enable: Yes
Pass Key: URL
Key: demo
Redirect Options: Custom Path: 404.html

I set all these and clicked Save. I logged out. Closed browser.

Open Firefox: Typed in: sitename.com/administrator/?demo

IT WORKS... NOW!!!

I log back in and go back to basic config. I only change one item the Pass Key. I changed it from URL to Form. I clicked Save. I logged out. Closed browswer.

Open Firefox: Typed in: sitename.com/administrator/
Form opens and I type in demo in the form box. It redirects me to 404.html

THAT IS A BUG!

I only changed one item in basic config. Didn't retype password and it fails...

I go into the params.php and disable it.

I go back into basic config. If I change all fields including the password and the app works. Now I only tested out changing the Pass Key. I will let you test out the other fields.
