TOPIC: Can't logout from backend (loop?)

Can't logout from backend (loop?) 2 Years, 11 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi all,

Few weeks ago I installed Jsecure and the whole idea behind suits me (as well the way it works)

However, if I try to logout from the backend, the progres meter from IE is "moving" but the system does not log out. If I log out when using FireFox the browser tells me i'm in a Loop.

Thing is that if I want to log back in recently after, I can't get in anylonger (need to wait until Joomla kicks me out after the 30 minutes inactivity)

Any suggestions?

(using Joomla 1.5.8 and VM stable)

Looking forward to your help.

I have this same issue. I have jsecure installed on 3 sites. 2 of the 3 get stuck in a redirect loop when I try to logout from the backend. I have the plugin set to redirect to the index page on all 3 sites.

All 3 sites are the following:
Joomla 1.5.9
sh404sef running (I thought this may be causing a conflict but it's on all three sites, even the one that doesn't get stuck in a loop)

I hope someone can address this, thank you!

I just moved my development site to my new location (on the same server, just different folder and domain associated with it) and I'm having that problem now as well.

I can't logout, it just hangs my browswer in IE. I even unstalled it and reinstalled it and have the same issues. If I type in the address to the orginal URL for the administration page, it doesn't redirect me either. I have it set to redirect me to the index page.

I may have to get rid of this plug in unfortuntely.
