Not working with firefox 3.5.5 10 Months ago Karma: 0
I recently installed jsecure with joomla 1.5. When I use IE and try to access either www.site.com/administrator/ or www.site.com/administrator/index.php it works great but if I use firefox it only works when you include the index.php if you type www.site.com/administrator it gives you access to the login screen. Any ideas am I doing something wrong?

Yes. The plugin does work with firefox. Try the keyword that you put, so for example but www.yousite.com/administrator/?KEYNAME Remember KEYNAME is the name that you put and put nothing but, then put the following: www.yousite.com/administrator/?jSecure which is the key word is predetermined or default. Put it like this in the browser. Tested in Firefox 3.5.5 today.

I know that it works as far as finding the login by keyword. Forgive me if I'm wrong but the point of the mod is to hide the fact that you are using joomla. When using firefox if you leave off the keyword and just use www.yoursite.com/administrator/ without the keyword you will still get the login screen... it does not do this with IE it gives you a 404 as its supposed to.

To clarify with firefox 3.5.5 leaving the keyword off still gives you access to the login screen and it should not.

Indeed, it should not. I tried it and activated the plugin works fine in IE6, IE7 and IE8 and Firefox 3.5.5 and Opera. I had no problem to prove it, do it with a friend who wanted to test its operation. You activate the plugin? Also clears the browser cache. Anything sent screenshots to see what happens. Greetings.

Using jSecure Authentication 1.0.9, it works with FF, Opera, Safari, but it does not work with Camino 2.0.

Even with other browsers I reported worked in the previous message, once you log out from the admin and go back to the /index.php link (without the ?key), the link shows the admin login window.
