I. Introduction

Now includes a version for Joomla! 3, including versions for Joomla! 2.5.x . JSP Store Locator provides rich interface to search and display dealer/office locations for a company who owns offices in multiple locations using Google Map API and Bing Maps API. JSP Store Locator v 2.0 provides easy to use interface for searching location, zip code, area code and provides Google Map or Bing Map to display the locations. Administrator can easily add/edit the locations/offices from backend interface and publish/unpublished locations.


II. Installation | Uninstallation 

How to install JSP Store Locator 2.0 From Joomla 2.5.x and 3.x.x:
  1. Unzip the package file Unzip first which contains different zip packages for different Joomla versions.

  2. Log into backend area.

  3. Go to Extensions -> Extension Manager.

  4. Click on 'Install' tab.

  5. Choose the zip package file present in Unzip first according to Joomla version from the browse button.

  6. Now Press the install button, the JSP Store Locator extension will be installed now.

 

How to uninstall JSP Store Locator 2.0 From Joomla 2.5.x and 3.x.x:
  1. Log into backend area.

  2. Go to Extensions -> Extension Manager.

  3. Click on ‘Manage’ tab.

  4. Select 'component' from - Select Type - drop down box

  5. Search for ‘JSP Store Locator’ and click on checkbox to uninstall.

  6. Click on ‘Uninstall’ button on top right side area to uninstall.

  7. Go to Extensions -> Install/Uninstall.

  8. Select 'Plugin' from - Select Type - drop down box

  9. Search for ‘JSP Store Locator’ and click on checkbox to uninstall.

  10. Click on ‘Uninstall’ button on top right side area to uninstall.


III. Features
  1. Default map on initially load with list of locations.

  2. Enable/Disable search option to show search option or not.

  3. User can search location by ZIP/Postal code or search by selecting category/country/state/city/area.

  4. Users can generate categories and assign those categories to locations and also search locations of a particular category.

  5. Options to add custom feilds (of type text) to locations from the backend and to show them on the frontend with locations list.

  6. Locations list on the frontend now comes with slider so that users have the option to expand the display of the map to have a look at the locations in an enhanced way.

  7. Branch detail pop-up with additional info (Description for branch/location).

  8. The "Get Directions" option that provides a route planner to find out route from one location to another.

  9. Configurable width, height and zoom level for map.

  10. Configurable fields like Branch Name, Contact Person, Contact Number, Gender, E-mail Id, Website, Description to show on list/map or not.

  11. Configurable parameters like Display Directions, Country name, State name, City name, Area name to show on list/map or not.

  12. No need to enter LAT/LONG info.

  13. Improved backend presentation.
